How to Read the FSC Card Status Report of Telangana, District by District

Important: This website is independent and is not a government site. We never ask for your Aadhaar number, OTP or password. Enter personal details only on official portals ending in .gov.in.

In a nutshell: the FSC Card Status Report Telangana is a public table that counts ration cards district by district. It tells you how many cards and members each district has. It does not show your own card, so use it for statistics only.

Say a college student in your village asks, "How many ration cards does our district have?" Or you are writing a small survey for the panchayat. The official portal has a report for exactly this. This site is independent and not a government website, so here we only explain how to read the report. The numbers come from the portal itself.

Where to Find the FSC Card Status Report in Telangana

Open the official EPDS Telangana home page. Hover over Reports in the top menu. You will see a group called Ration Cards Reports. Inside it are four items: GHMC FSC Card Status Report, FSC Card Status Report, Seeding Report and FPShop Details Report. Click FSC Card Status Report.

  • 1 Open Ration Cards Reports
  • 2 Pick a report from the list

No login is needed. You also do not type any personal detail. If a page asks for your Aadhaar or OTP just to show a report, stop and check the web address. It should end in .gov.in or .nic.in.

Note the separate GHMC FSC Card Status Report in the same menu. We have not opened it, so we do not describe it here.

What the District-Wise Ration Card Report Page Looks Like

The heading reads "Telangana State FSC Ration Card Status Report" with a date and time of generation. When we opened it, it said 25-Oct-2026, 02:30 AM. Below it is one long table with 33 rows, one per district, and a Total row at the bottom. Each district name is a link. We did not open that drill-down.

  • 1 Title shows when the report was generated
  • 2 NFSA card columns
  • 3 District names (each is a link)

Three Column Groups in the FSC Card Status Report

The columns look scary at first. They are only three blocks side by side.

BlockColumns inside itPlain meaning
NFSAAAY Cards, AAY Units, Priority Household Cards, Priority Household Units, Total Cards, Total UnitsCards under the National Food Security Act
STATEAAY Cards and Units, Priority Household Cards and Units, AAP Cards and Units, Total Cards, Total UnitsCards under state schemes, as the report groups them
TOTALCards, UnitsNFSA and STATE added together

The check is simple. In the state total, NFSA total cards plus STATE total cards equal the TOTAL cards. We checked it on the Total row: 5,704,246 plus 4,963,560 gives 10,667,806.

Ration Cards Versus Units in the NFSA Report

A "card" is one ration card, one piece of plastic or paper per family. A "unit" is one member counted on that card. This is our plain reading, because the page does not define the word. So a card with four people adds 1 to the cards column and 4 to the units column.

AAY, Priority Household and AAP Card Types Explained

  • AAY is Antyodaya Anna Yojana, a standard category under the National Food Security Act.
  • Priority Household is the other NFSA category, for priority households.
  • AAP appears only under STATE. The page shows the short form but not the full form, and we have not verified it. We will not guess.

Telangana State Totals in the FSC Card Status Report (25 Oct 2026)

BlockTotal cardsTotal units
NFSA5,704,24619,171,584
STATE4,963,56015,193,849
TOTAL10,667,80634,365,433

A few more lines from the Total row. NFSA AAY cards are 565,951. NFSA Priority Household cards are 5,138,295. State Priority Household cards are 4,958,600. AAP cards are 4,959. These figures change as cards are added or removed, so treat them as a snapshot of that morning.

How to Read One District Row: Adilabad Ration Card Example

Take a farmer's son, Ravi, who wants the number for his home district, Adilabad. Here is what he does.

  1. He scrolls down to find "Adilabad" in the District Name column. The district list is alphabetical-looking, so it is near the top.
  2. He ignores the NFSA and STATE blocks for now and goes straight to the last block, TOTAL.
  3. In TOTAL, Cards shows 228,374. That is every ration card the report counts in Adilabad.
  4. Next to it, Units gives the number of members on those cards. Ravi will read this number off the screen. We do not quote it here, to keep to what we saw clearly.
  5. He then moves left to see how the 228,374 splits between NFSA and STATE. The two Total Cards numbers there will add up to it.

Now Ravi can say, "My district has 228,374 ration cards as per the report of 25 October 2026." That is a sentence he can safely write in his survey.

Four Example Districts in the District-Wise Ration Card Report

DistrictTotal cards (TOTAL block)
Adilabad228,374
Khammam474,273
Medchal657,486
Hyderabad839,474

These four are only examples. We are not ranking districts. The report has 33 rows, and a district with fewer cards is simply smaller or differently counted.

Why This Report Cannot Show Your Own Ration Card Status

This is the point many people miss. The report counts cards. It never lists names or card numbers. If you want to know whether your card exists, whether a member is on it, or what your application status is, use the card search instead.

How to Use the FSC Card Status Report Sensibly

A teacher can use the district totals for a class project. A journalist can quote them with the date. A dealer's association can compare its own district with a neighbour. In every case, quote the generation date, because the same report will show other numbers next month.

Do not mix this report with the Seeding Report. Both count cards, and their totals differ a little, since they are separate reports. We explain that in our Seeding Report guide. Do not try to make the two match.

Also avoid saying a district "has too many cards" or "has fake cards" from these numbers. The table cannot prove such a thing.

Portal screens and field names were checked against the official portal on 25 October 2026. Report figures change, so confirm current numbers on the portal. Helpline: 1967.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the FSC Card Status Report on the Telangana portal?

On the official EPDS home page, hover over Reports, then Ration Cards Reports, and click FSC Card Status Report. It opens a district-wise table without any login.

Can I find my own ration card in this report?

No. It shows only counts for each district, not names or card numbers. To look up a single card, use the official FSC Ration Card Search or the application search.

What is the difference between cards and units?

Cards are ration cards. Units are the members counted on them, in our plain reading. A card with five members adds one card and five units.

What do NFSA and STATE mean in the report?

NFSA is the National Food Security Act. STATE groups cards under state schemes, as the report shows it. The TOTAL block adds both together for each district.

How many ration cards does Telangana have according to this report?

The report generated on 25 October 2026 showed 10,667,806 total cards and 34,365,433 units. These numbers change over time, so check the date on the page.

Why does AAP appear only under STATE?

The report lists AAP cards and units only in the STATE group. Its full form is not given on the page and we have not verified it, so ask the Civil Supplies office.
